9/11 Personal Post

September 11th.  A day we will never forget!

I created this blog with the intentions of it being mostly a place where my photography work can be displayed.  I want my clients to be able to come to my site and be able to see themselves in the photos we create together.  The last few posts have been somewhat personal posts and I find myself struggling with this because this blog site is not about me but about the people who I've helped create memories for.

Today's post is about memories that I made for my children.  This past July we flew to NYC and visited all the tourist spots that most people go when they there on vacation.  For me it was extra special to take them to NY because that is the place where I grew up.  I was born there, went to school there and still have family that live there.  As a young girl I remember going to the World Trade Center with my mom during "bring you child to work days".  Now when I go back to visit, it has a different feeling.  It's a feeling of heart wrenching sadness and we all know why.

Although it's been 13 years, I will never forget this horrible tragedy.  I will remember all the sacrifices of our men and women in uniform and all of those

that lost their lives that day.  God bless America and help us get back to that place of unity and peace.
